Young performers from seven troupes in Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Suzhou, Hunan and other places got together for performance in the city's "Xiang Kun Yuan" classical theater. Kun opera was developed in the 14th century during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) and is one of the oldest forms of Chinese opera.
