El bufón Don Diego de Acedo “El Primo”

The exhibition "FROM TITIAN TO GOYA--GREAT MASTERS FROM THE MUSEO DEL PRADO" is being held in the National Art Museum of China (NAMOC) to celebrate the "Year of Spain in China". It lasts from June 29 to August 24.

The ongoing exhibition consists of 51 pieces from the Prado Museum's collection of paintings. The aim of the exhibition is to demonstrate the riches of the collection through a selection which includes masterpieces from the Spanish, Italian, Flemish, French, Dutch and German Schools from the 16th Century to the beginning of the 19th Century. Among the artists chosen for the exhibition, El Greco, Velázquez, Ribera, Zurbarán, Murillo, Goya, Tiziano, Veronés, Reni, Rubens, Van Dyck, Jordaens, Claude Lorrain, Poussin, Boucher, Mengs and Tiépolo stand out.

El Quitasol

The theme of the exhibition is structured around four sections describing the origins of the paintings, their roots and their history: The Royal Collections of Spain, the incorporation of the Trinidad Museum, acquisitions by the Spanish State and donations and inheritance from private individuals.
