The third is robbery. Just like other cultural relics, the underwater relics also attract many robbers to steal them. In June 2005, the cultural relics on the Wanjiao No.1 ancient sunken ship in Fujian Province were stolen by robbers from Guangdong, Zhejiang, Anhui and Shandong Provinces, which resulted in a serious loss to China’s underwater archaeology.
