Archaeologists have returned to Guangzhou with relics salvaged from the ancient sunken ship Nan'ao 1.
Starting from April 9th, more than three months of salvage work came to an end on Tuesday.
In total, more than 11,000 pieces of relics were found. Most of them are porcelain, and are mainly of the blue and white variety.
Another rare discovery was some ten-thousand copper coins of the Song Dynasty, dating back about one-thousand years ago.
A new museum tailored for the sunken ship Nan'ao 1 and the relics found on it is being planned in Nan'ao county.
Before that, these relics will be kept in Guangzhou and Shantou cities, as well as Nan'ao county.
Until the hull itself is retrieved from the sea floor, the sunken ship will be under 24-hour surveillance.
