From Paris to Beijing, Wuhan, Shanghai, Chengdu and Guangzhou, the Music Day is everywhere in China!
Created in 1982 by Jack Lang, then Minister of Culture, this popular festival dedicated to music in all its forms since its first edition won a great success.
Now adopted by countries around the world, it is now celebrated in 110 countries on five continents, with more than 340 participating cities around the world, which the cities of Beijing, Wuhan, Shanghai, Chengdu joined in past six years.

Wuhan was the first Chinese city to celebrate the Music Day in 2007, and since then it has steadily grown in popularity to become a major event in the cultural year in Wuhan. This year co-organized by the Municipality, the 7th edition will be up to its reputation with two evenings of concerts and free outdoor.

After collecting 15 locations, 33 concerts and nearly 6,000 fans for its first Beijing edition, The Music Day returns to Beijing June 21, 2013!
This French tradition now present on the five continents offers every June 21, the night of completely free and open to all musical events. This new edition explores new agreements to resonate musical discoveries, aesthetic explorations and enjoyment of the holiday.
Salud, Temple, Modernista, 4 Corners, Zajia Lab Jianghu the Blue Stream ... these legendary concerts in Gulou-bars, soon joined by other bars, theaters and restaurants, completed consecutively musical notes from 6pm to late at night .
The "Lo'Jo" group will especially come from France to vibrate the boards of Mao Livehouse! In counterpoint, in Sanlitun, a family journey deprating from the French School, to combine music and conviviality in "Art at Home" Comptoir de France, "L'Atelier", the "Scarlett" restaurant of the Hotel G.
On Saturday, June 22 in the afternoon, the Music Day will take you off the beaten track in the artists' village of Songzhuang around the ON Gallery and "Art at Home" trails.
The event is organized by the Junior Chamber of French in Beijing and is supported by the Embassy of France in Beijing, the French Institute of China, the French Alliance, and web marketing agency THEM.
