Eric Legnini & the Afro Jazz Beat

Eric Legnini is one of the most recognized jazz pianists of the moment. This multi-talented musician arranges, transforms, and composes melodies with a singularstyle, mixing jazz with African influenced rhythms and funk guitar. In 2001 he was awarded album of the year at the Victoires du Jazz . His recent musical encounter with singer Hugh Coltman gave birth to a new album with the evocative title, Sing Twice! . His China tour will give the public a chance to discover jazz with a rousing and catchy pop contours.

As the head of a five-member jazz combo, composer, arranger, and trumpeter Laurent Mignard offers a channel to the heartof the Duke Ellington's repertoire: essential works, themes in line with France (Ellington French Touch), extracts of Suites... For the occasion, the quintet is accompanied by an exceptional guest: singer MyraMaud.

Accompanied for this exceptional date in China by the vocaliste MyraMaud, Laurent Mignard Duke Orchestra continues to make Duke Ellington's work shine. Since 2003, this " dreamteam " of 16 musicians who investigates and shares Duke Ellington's multiple facets, knows how to find the perfect tone to transcend a public every year more numerous (Jazz in Vienna(Vienne), Radio France, Cork / Ireland, Beirut / Lebanon, holy Sulpice / bets).
