From October 22 to October 26, delegates of the cultural circle from Turkey, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kirghizstan and other countries along the Silk Road gathered together at the Business Travel Culture of the Silk Road Exhibition: Linking the East to the West held by CCOIC (China Chamber of International Commerce) in Xian, Shaanxi Province.
The exhibition was intended to provide a communication and exchange platform for those along the Silk Road. Wan Jifei, chairman of the CCOIC, said the Silk Road is a part of China’s historical cultural heritage shared by China and other countries along the route. As the starting point of the Silk Road Economic Belt, Shaanxi Province is well-situated and has the potential to develop into an exclusive platform for the cooperation of the Economic Belt with its abundant cultural tourism resources and solid industrial foundation.
According to Wang Lixia, vice governor of Shaanxi Province, the government will cooperate actively with the other countries along the Silk Road in various aspects such as business, tourism and culture. As a link between the east and the west, Shaanxi is bound to boost the economy of the Silk Road Economic Belt.
