A cultural exchange activity called "Today’s China" has opened in Monaco. The event features a showcase of Chinese performing arts, folk arts, photography and cuisine.

The exhibition is being held at the "China Village", which local authorities have built especially for the showcase.

For a week, dozens of artists from China will be on site to demonstrate the diversity of Chinese culture. Among the offerings, traditional papercutting and dough sculptures are being presented for the very first time.

Visitors can also watch performances of music, dance, magic, acrobatics and more. The showcase was initiated by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles in 2004 and is held in different countries every year.
