Recently, a work report conference on Guizhou’s culture industry corridor for the Yi ethnic group was held in Guiyang. Presided over Wang Fuyu, the chairman of the Guizhou Provincial CPPCC, it was attended by officers from the Department of Culture, the Provincial Department of Finance, and the Provincial Cultural Industry Office and other provincial departments.
The conference requires the culture, tourism, publicity office and the Yi ethnic group institute and other relevant departments to work together to fully mobilize cultural resources and put forward a plan with the characteristics of Guizhou province and the ethnic group. The plan should combine culture with tourism as the most basic requirement to build the culture industry corridor and cover transportation infrastructure, the protection of villages and the development of arts and crafts. It is expected that the Yi ethnic group’s culture industry corridor will be a corridor for the development of transportation, national culture and a social/economic boom. It also is expected integrate the urban and rural features of Yi culture.
