Two exhibitions celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Establishment of Sino-French Diplomatic Relations will kick off in Paris on September 8, 2014.
Co-sponsored by China International Culture Association, Beijing International Culture Association, Embassy of the People's Republic of China in France, and Haidian District, with support from the Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Beijing Municipality, the two exhibitions will occur during the traditional Chinese Mid-autumn Festival.
One photo exhibition called "Bussiere's Garden -- A French Doctor in Beijing", features the 41-year life of a French doctor who had made a great contribution in China's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression.
Chinese President Xi Jinping highly praised Dr. Jean Bussiere's contribution and his friendship with the Chinese people at a ceremony in Paris in March, commemorating the 50th Anniversary of Sino-French Diplomatic Relations.
The doctor transported precious medicines to China during World War II, and offered free treatment and medicines to Chinese patients in his garden.
This exhibition will run until September 16.
Another exhibition featuring the culture of the Old Summer Palace has previously been held in Berlin and Moscow, in 2012 and 2013 respectively, and has become a brand for cultural exchange exhibitions with foreign countries.
Besides photos, models and videos, the exhibition will also feature holographic displays, digital interaction, and 3D technology, to offer visitors interactive experiences under different themes.
