The iconic comedy series "A Chinese Odyssey", or da hua xi you, will reopen in Chinese theatres next Friday.
The 1994 fantasy-comedy film was directed and written by Jeffrey Lau, starring Stephen Chow and Karen Mok among others.
The first part is titled Pandora's Box, while the second one is called Cinderella.
The film is a wild adaption from the Chinese classical novel "Journey to the West".
In the adaption, the Monkey King was even involved in a relationship with a fairy.
The wild imagination and classic lines has become a cult classic among young adults in China.
The films to be reopened are digital reproduction based on the original movies, which are pledged to provide a better quality to the viewers.
