China and Benin signed a new culture agreement on Nov 18. Tao Weiguang, ambassador of the Chinese Embassy to the Republic of Benin and the cultural minister of Benin attended the signing ceremony.
Both sides agreed to further cooperation on culture, art, education, relics, museums, news and publishing, films and sports over the next four years. This agreement aims to promote friendship and strengthen cultural cooperation between the two sides.
Before the signing ceremony, Tao held a talk with the representative from Benin and shared views on cultural cooperation in past few years. The Benin side agreed to support the development of the China Cultural Center and praised its annual activity, "Happy Spring Festival", which helps them to know more about Chinese culture.
