The Qingdao Museum is a local historical museum of China. Located at quiet Daxue Road of the Qingdao Bay, the Museum follows the architectural style of the Confucian Temple in Confucius's birthplace, Qufu, in Shandong Province. The Museum, founded in 1965, covers an area of 1,545 square meters with 700 square meters for exhibition halls.
The museum has a collection of 50,000 cultural relics, of which 150 belong to Class Once Collection. Among these cultural relics, the most famous are more than 4,000 Chinese paintings and works of calligraphy of the Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties.
Basic exhibitions in the Museum include the 100-Year History of Qingdao. The Museum has held exhibitions such as Ancient Paintings, Ancient Craftwork, Ancient Porcelain and Relics and Treasures.
