Clothes of men of Bouyei ethnic minority are almost the same with those of the Han men. However, Bouyei men still like to wear headcloth of black, blue or blue lattice cloth with white background.
Women's dresses maintain many distinctive features of the Bouyei ethnic minority and their styles vary from place to place. In the north, women usually wear a wax printed blue long skirt with lacework, a shirt with a V-shaped collar, a blue handkerchief around the head, and a waistband. In the south of Bouyei, women wear a front-buttoned jacket and long trousers; the edges of their jackets and trousers are inlaid with lacework. But jackets are different in length in different places: some reach the calves, some only reach the knees and some are even shorter. Besides, colors of headcloth vary from place to place: some are blue, some white and some with printed lattice. Women like to wear various silver ornaments such as finger rings, earrings, headgear, and bracelets, etc.
