Tianjin Opera and Dance Drama Theater

The Tianjin Opera and Dance Drama Theater was founded in October 1959. The Theater has nurtured many renowned artists such as composers Wang Xin and Cao Huoxing; and Vocalists Yu Shuzhen and Guan Mucun, among others. During the recent 10 years, the Theater has created and staged large-scale musical dance performance Charms of the Tang and Song Dynasties, musical dance Goddess Mazu, epic dance performance Jingwei the Magic Bird and symphonic epic Illumination of the Oriental Wisdom and ballet classic Swan Lake, Le Corsaire, Tales from the Arabian Nights and Spartacus.

The theater has visited more than 30 countries and regions in Asia, Africa and the Americas.
