During spring auction seasonin China,a wash painting of mountains and waters by Yuan Dynasty painter Wang Meng (1301-1385) set an auction record at 402.5 millionyuan ($62.1 million USD) on Saturday night.It is the second-highest amount paid for a piece of painting and calligraphy at an auction. An 11th Century scroll by Chinese calligrapher Huang Tingjian fetched 436.8m yuan ($67.2m USD) in 2009.

The hanging scroll "Zhichuan Resettlement" portrays a medical scientist from the Eastern Jin Dynasty (317-420), Ge Hong, moving his home to the LuofuMountain for alchemy.
