Born in 1976, the police officer -turned-writer has just come into the mature stage of his writing when he stepped into his 30s. "Whatever I write, there're criminal scenes and people (always the protagonists) get murdered," he joked. A Yi has already got international acclaim for writing about the "perfect crime".
A Yi said as the stage for Chinese writing gets larger, people will know Chinese writing better.
