Chinese Culture Talk
Launched in 2015, Chinese Culture Talk is a series of lectures on Chinese philosophy, religion, literature, cuisine, medicine and other traditional culture-related subjects. It is sponsored by the Bureau for External Cultural Relations of the Chinese Ministry of Culture.
Each year, three or four groups of young and middle-aged scholars will be selected to give lectures abroad with Chinese embassies, consulates, China cultural centers or local agencies around the world. Other ministries and social forces in China also send scholars to lecture abroad.
During 2015, various lectures have been held in different cities of eight countries, including France, Denmark, Belgium, America, Indonesia and Canada. A total of 23 lectures with nine themes such as "Seeking for the Beauty of Chinese Clothes", "Wang Yangming and Zen Guofan" and "Chinese National Music Appreciation" have received high praise from these countries.
