#7 The Yellow Emperor's Canon of 81 Difficult Issues(《难经》)

The Yellow Emperor's Canon of 81 Difficult Issues (Pinyin: Nan Jing) is one of the ancient classics of TCM. Completed in the Warring States Period, it was said to be compiled by Qin Yueren (popularly known as Bian Que), a doctor with legendary medical talents at that time. The book, comprised of 81 chapters, seeks to clarify enigmatic statements made in The Yellow Emperor's Inner Canon (Pinyin: Huangdi Neijing) in the format of questions and answers.

The issues discussed in this book cover sphygmology, meridian channels, viscera organs, diseases, acupoints and acupuncture. It enriched and further developed the academic theories of The Yellow Emperor's Inner Canon (Pinyin: Huangdi Neijing) and actively influenced and promoted the development of the diagnosis, pathological mechanism, meridian channels and acupuncture methods.
