Rice Baskets (Pair)
This pair of rice containers is made in the form of a round barrel. The surface is lacquered and gilt painted with gold and black lacquers. The theme of the painting is a peacock which is a symbol of prosperity. Near the top and close to the bottom it is painted in gold lacquer with black dots. The dots represent the head of the nails found in real leather drums. Hence this type of rice container is also called the drum shaped containers.
Qing Dynasty Wooden Lions
This pair of lions stands on a wooden base with relief carving decoration. The wood is decorated with gold and green lacquer. The circular form of these lions project a sweeter and friendlier image compared to the fierce look of Northern lions. The expression of the pair represents joy and luck.

This baby cradle is made of a large bamboo basket with a stand. The basket is put on the stand and can be rocked back and forth.
