The above picture shows the scenery during the time when Dagaoxuan Dian was near the Tongzi River. The reason for its desertion is the expansion of Jingshanqian Jie. Some of the buildings in Dagaoxuan Dian were torn down and rebuilt several times. Now the compound has been vacated for an overhaul in the hope that the historical site will reappear in Beijing.
