Seven painters from China have opened an art show in Hamburg, Germany.

It is part of the art exchanges during a summit at the China-Europe Forum.

Chao Ge is from China's Central Academy of Fine Arts.

"They carry our artists' vision, with the characteristics of the west and spirit of the east. It should be visible through these paintings."

"The world will be better connected if different cultures and economies all try to communicate. Art is a form of communication that allows people to express how they feel."

It is the first time that art exchange has been included on the agenda of the China-Europe Forum.
