Since the re-opening of Nanjing Museum, many "cute" artifacts resembling certain cartoon figures, animals, or human beings have been "selected" from tens of thousands of exhibits by visitors, and their pictures have been posted on the Internet and welcomed by Chinese netizens.

Nanjing Museum is located in Nanjing, capital of eastern China's Jiangsu province. With an area of 70,000 square meters (17 acres), the museum has two exhibition halls: history exhibition hall and art exhibition hall. The museum currently has over 400,000 items in its permanent collection, making it one of the largest in China.
