The 7-day China -ASEAN music week ended on the evening of May 30, 2014 in Nanning, Guangxi province. Musicians from China, Singapore, Malaysia, Poland and other countries and regions attended the yearly event.
During its last week, more than 150 musicians from China, ASEAN countries and the world presented new works through delivering 16 different styles of concerts, three summit fora and three master classes, and shared their experiences behind the creations.
During the event, many musicians, including Ye Xiaogang, Vice Chairman of the China Musicians Association, agreed that music creation and prosperity need a good platform, and China - ASEAN music week plays an important role in doing this, which has now become the third largest music creation platform following the Beijing Modern Music Festival and the Shanghai Contemporary Music week.
