Though obviously constraints brought about by development and the push towards better life outcomes for people in the western regions will continue, perhaps at an even faster rate, with attention now increasingly being paid towards their cultural heritage both by the government, tourism agencies and individuals themselves, China’s rich past strives to be preserved for the benefit of future generations.
