A great family of 56 ethnic groups |
|

|
China is a unified nation consisting of 56 different ethnic groups. Each ethnicity possesses its own outstanding and distinctive culture. In areas with concentrated minority populations, the government has established ethnic minority regions with autonomous governing bodies. All members of China's great multiethnic family are treated equally and participate equally in national development. Pictured are minority representatives at the National People's Congress.
