Wedding in China today
Nowadays, pre-wedding preparation grows more sophisticated. Many would-be-couples turn to budding wedding planning companies, which will cover almost everything from wedding ideas to bridal articles, reception decorations, wedding supplies, wedding favors, and invitations.
New wedding arrangement challenges conventional ideas
Newlyweds come to embrace diamond rings as the most favorable wedding jewelry. As to the wedding photos, they are no longer satisfied with the routine pose-and-snap procedure, and have begun to pursue creatively themed wedding photos. Some even challenge conventional ideas, having a unique and fancy wedding ceremony, such as, when diving, swimming, or travelling.
As real estate boomed at the beginning of the 21st century, having a house has become extremely expensive, and usually costs a salary-man a lifetime’s saving, especially in big cities like Beijing or Shanghai. As a result, owning a house has been widely accepted as one of the inevitable wedding preparations.
From “Old Three” of watch, bicycle and sewing machine to car and fully-equipped house, great changes in the wedding sector underline the tremendous stride China has achieved over the past 3 decades.
However, when enjoying the benefits of 30 years of growth, many of the marriage-aged in China today find themselves trapped in a mire. Buying a house and car is not an easy task for 20-something lovers and they have to seek help from their parents. Thus a wedding, sometimes, becomes a family burden.
