Go and Appreciate the Good Art Works at the 6th ICCIE
At Hall 1 of the 6th ICCIE main exhibition venue - the China International Exhibition Center, “The 5th Beijing Arts and Crafts Exhibition and the 1st Arts and Crafts Innovation Design Award-Winning Works Exhibition” will be showcased in due time theming on “Inheritance · Development · Crossover · Integration.” The exhibition will for the first time merge the best works of Chinese traditional arts and crafts and the practical innovative products to display the fresh achievements of Beijing’s arts and crafts industry in inheriting and developing the Chinese traditional artistry for innovative design by utilizing the traditional elements, enriching the variety of arts and crafts and expanding the arts and crafts market.
The exhibition will be in two sections: the traditional arts and crafts section and the innovative products section. The former section will accommodate up to 300 piece(set) of art of works from nearly 100 traditional arts and crafts enterprises and up to 100 arts and crafts masters. In addition to the “Yanjing Eight Uniques”- the very best and unique traditional skills of arts and crafts developed in Beijing area, more than 40 folk arts that have never gone public will also be shown.
The traditional arts and crafts based innovative products exhibition area will, for the first time, collectively showcase gifts, tourist souvenirs, home supplies, artistic utilities, clothing accessories, produced and printed by 11 industries such as arts and crafts, clothing, furniture, printing, architectural decoration, etc.
Meanwhile, the exhibition will also showcase the creative works of college students from such Chinese universities as Academy of Arts and Design of Tsinghua University, the Central Academy of Fine Arts, and Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology etc.. Their works are representative of the professional level of creative design in China and are expressive of the potential of development in this field.
