As a part of the 2013 China-Russia Culture and Art Festival, the third “China-Russia Dialogue on Theatrical Arts” festival was held from October 25 to October 27 in Beijing.

The festival was hosted by the Chinese Ministry of Culture, the Russian Ministry of Culture, the Russian Embassy in China and organized by CICE (Center of International Cultural Exchange), National Center for the Performing Arts and Russian International Culture Forum Company. The overall theme of the festival wasI in commemoration of Stanislavski’s 150th birthday.

A series of activities covering a variety of fields were held in diverse forms. During their visit to the Central Academy of Drama, a group of Russian experts on performance shared with Chinese students Stanislavski’s system and Russian theatre’s experiences of applying modern technology to theatrical plays.
