Lanzhou beef noodle is a well-known characteristic Lanzhou dish where all the noodles are manually drawn out and is also known as Hand-Pulled Noodle. It originated in the Tang Dynasty and has won over domestic and international customers with its unique taste and pleasant color; it is listed by the China cooking association as one of China's three major fast foods. In 1999, Lanzhou Hand-Pulled Noodle, along with Beijing Quanjude Roast Duck and Tianjin Goubuli steamed bun, was identified as one of the three major Chinese fast-food varieties to be promoted. A Jun porcelain figure symbolizing "good luck" and designed by Chinese craft master Kong Xiangqing has been produced by the Kong Family Jun Kiln in Yuzhou, Henan province. Jun porcelain, one of the five top in China, is famous for its changing colors during the kiln process. The town of Shenhou in Yuzhou is known as the "Capital of Jun porcelain".
