"This year is the Chinese Lunar New Year of the Horse, which symbolizes strength, elegance and loyalty," Chinese ambassador to Sweden Chen Yuming addressed the event, saying"in ancient China, good horses are usually analogy of talents."
Highly praising the culture exchanges between the two nations, Chen said: "Nothing brings peoples closer than the charm of culture. It leads to deeper mutual understanding and builds strong friendship."
After the outdoor show, the museum opened its door to all for all kinds of programs, ranging from Chinese ancient arts and antiquities demonstration to Chinese calligraphy show, as well as interactive areas under the culture of the "horse".
In the Dragon family studio, Chinese decorations in classic red, black and gold lightened the whole atmosphere with happiness. Local Swedes actively tried their hands to create their own horses and write characters for horse.
"Every person has some sort of relation to horse, I think. I think it is a very popular animal, very positive, energetic and a lot of power," said Tigercrona.
"It's also something that the Swedish public is interested in, to find out what year they were born and study the list, want to see what year I am, what year you are. That is something that is kind of very concentrated way to get familiar with the Chinese culture," said Tigercrona.
Swede Birgitta was impressed by this year's lion and dragon dances.
"I like it very much, especially with the dragon when so many people holding it. They managed very good I think. The lion, too, was so athletic. Yes, I like it too. " she said.
