The Animation Beijing • China International Expo of Internet Culture will be staged at Beijing Exhibition Center from Oct 17-20. It will be co-hosted by the Ministry of Culture and Beijing Municipal Government and undertaken by Animation Comic Game China Group and Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture.
In accordance with the unified deployment of the Ministry of Culture, the 12th Expo will join hands with the 3rd Animation Beijing, taking on a new look with a combination of the two. According to Liu Chengxuan, chairman and general manager of Animation Comic Game China Group, the Expo will feature the elements of the animation industry in its overall planning and design. And the enterprise and government presentations as well as forum and summit will revolve around the theme of “Internet unites the world, animation innovates the future”.
The Expo exhibition has eight sections: youth startup and talents support exhibition, Chinese newly innovated animation promotions exhibition, interactive entertainment products exhibition, digital products exhibition, animation and games exhibition, interactive experience exhibition, animation and games exhibition, and an industrial park of local culture exhibition. The Expo will also hold seven activities, including a 2014 China Internet culture ceremony, ethnic newly innovated cartoon and animation selection, Chinese animation Cosplay Contest, electronic games contest, App creation contest for college students, board games contest, and a 2014 expo photo contest. By carrying out these activities, the expo strives to provide the public with a high-level, large-scale, more internationalized, and more branded digital culture festival.
The section of Expo forum, as an important part of the Expo, will base itself on the governmental guides over the Internet culture industry and center on the hot issues of the Internet culture industry. The forum, following the principles of being “professional, elaborate and practical”, include a TVGAME summit, mobile games summit, animation games industry summit, and Internet culture and big data summit.
