Early in the 1990s, Li Shenghong began to serve as vice chairman of Hainan’s Calligraphers Association and the president of the Hainan Academy of Lettering Arts, and made a great contribution to the cause of calligraphy and the development of the China Calligrapher Association. He was also rated among the first batch of calligraphers who exhibited both virtue and talent according to the China Calligrapher Association.
