Located in Li county, Aba prefecture of Sichuan Province, Taoping Qiang Village is regarded as the Mysterious Oriental Castle for its unique architecture and the original flavor. Most of the houses in the village are made of stones and connect each other by crisscrossed paths and roads, which make the village more cryptic. The whole village faces the water, with mountains surrounding. In the village, there are many towers standing high to the sky. They are made of earth, stones or wood. All were kept intact even after the Wenchuan Earthquake in 2008. [Photo by Chen Zhou/ China.org.cn]
