Recall Qin E•The Lousha, which is a famous poem by Chairman Mao, described the situation on the Long March. Two sentences of ‘苍山如海,残阳如血’ from this poem are widely known, which means ‘the green mountains roll like sea waves and the dying sun immerses into a scarlet sky’.
Fu Boashi depicted this impressive scenery with his brush and this painting sold for 3,192,000 yuan at the China Guardian 2009 Autumn Auctions.
