Writing and adapting the play for the stage was a four-year process. The drama portrays the people of Lin County, Henan Province during a specific time under the CPC's guidance that spent 10 years building the Red Flag Canal, The photo shows County Secretary Yang Gui (L) who worked directly with the canal’s construction team.
