More than 20 Korean animation companies attended the exhibition
According to Fang Guoqiang, vice mayor of Changzhou city, this year’s Art Week puts emphasis on its internationalization, with animation companies, exhibition groups and organizations from more than 30 countries and regions involved. It is the first time for some international brands and leading companies to attend the exhibition. These companies include American Hasbro Transformers, Taiwan Star Cat and Tencent Games.
Among all the participants are more than 20 Korean animation companies and organizations, as Animation Week also features “the China-ROK exchanges and cooperation on animation and game industry”. During Art Week, Chinese and Korean companies will have business negotiations over animation purchase, investment, game development and operation, and service outsourcing, and explore the supporting service of animation and the game industry. They will also sign contracts and release “the platform of creative ideas collection and promotion for Asian animation” jointly developed by the two sides.
In addition, China (Changzhou) International Animation Art week will initiate formal negotiations with the “Korea Seoul Cartoon Image Authorization Exhibition” on the establishment of a comprehensive and diversified cooperative platform for the development of China-ROK animation and game industry.
