The 2014 Hong Kong and Macao Visual Arts Exhibition opened on Sept 11 at the Beijing World Museum. This photographic arts exhibition aims to bring new perspectives on life, culture and society in Hong Kong and the Macao Special Administrative Regions.
Photos on show from 12 Hong Kong photographers record the daily life of people in Hong Kong. These photos help to create a new connotation of family in modern times and give a clear view of the development of Hong Kong society.
Compared with photos presented by Hong Kong photographers, Macao’s artists offer a set of old photos shot in 1844, showing the changes in Macao.
The exhibition, established in 2008, has been held every two years since 2012. It aims to strengthen cultural exchanges between the mainland, Hong Kong and Macao. The 2014 Hong Kong and Macao Visual Arts Exhibition runs until Sept 19.
