Visual Symphony

The exhibition of Li Chevalier's works, Visual Symphony, is like an echo of the concert by the conductor of the Paris Opera, Philippe Jordan, which is held on July 3rd. Transboundary and transdisciplinary are the qualifiers of this exhibition that links music and visual art, East and West, and serve as a glance at the career of the artist and her works that were born at the confluence of Pacific Asia and Atlantic Europe. Li Chevalier presents a series of works dedicated to music, with musical instruments, calligraphy, and photography for support. A performance by cellist Frédéric Laroque accompanies the opening.

The Instinct of the Instant by Marc Riboud

Marc Riboud is without a doubt the most well known French photographer in China. Affectionately called Ma-Ke-Lu-Bu by his Chinese peers and admirers, he has visited China more than 20 times since 1956 and is returning at the age of 87 for a retrospective in two Chinese cities. The public is able to discover or rediscover his 'icons' and 'best-of', which are composed of some unpublished photos, both in black and white and color, that retrace his journeys in Africa, the Middle East, the Americas, Europe and of course, Asia.

China in Kodachrome by Bruno Barbey

French photographer Bruno Barbey, a member of the agency Magnum Photos since 1968, has traveled over five continents covering numerous conflicts and wars. He will share his color images of China from 1973 to 1980, China in Kodachrome a world premiere.
